Writing: It’s in the Cooker

I’m not sure it is a goal, but I’d like to write everyday. Today was an exception. I haven’t written today. I like to think that the next scene I write is in the cooker. The cooker being my mind. I haven’t fully formed where I’m going next (even though I still have that outline, which doesn’t go into as much detail as I would like). My characters are going to lunch at the mother’s home. So, is that it? Just lunch? Or will they discuss something important. Was I hungry at the time I wrote that or is this really a part that the novel cannot do without?
