It’s true. The Rejected Mail-Order Bride a Christian Historical Romance novel is here as of April 23rd. I’m so excited for you to meet Rose and Harl as their love blossoms in the hills of the fictional town of Harrisville Kentucky in 1871.
Harrisville is located in the south-eastern part of the state amid rolling hills, hollows and mountains. It is a lovely peace-filled place where the inhabitants choose to live out their lives. Inhabitants like Harl Adams who believes he is cursed to remain a bachelor until he meets Rose Henderson after she is left to fend for herself as a would-be mail-order bride. Rose is anything but the type of conventional women Harl is used to. She proudly professes that she is not a Christian and has no use for God in her life.
Harl is dumbfounded at first, but soon his heart softens toward Rose. He finds himself praying for her salvation daily. Will she ever find the Lord? Will Harl’s curse of bachelorhood be broken?
About writing the book: I enjoy reading books about flawed characters and wanted to create my own. Rose is a hefty woman who is rejected because of her size. Harl is, from all appearances, very unlucky in love having missed opportunities with two women in his hometown.
I write for pleasure and to get the characters swimming around in my thoughts out onto paper. I’m slowly working on the third book in the series. At first, I thought that the series would be three books, but I’m not so sure now. I have an idea for a fourth book floating around, but we’ll see after I get the third book written.
Since you have read this far, (or did you?) tell me about the types of books you like to read and why you enjoy reading them please.
Thank you for reading my blog.
I love Christian historical or Amish fiction. I live in the modern world and all it’s problems so I don’t want to read about it
